5cudo Chat / Where is the fuel pump and how to change it
« on: January 10, 2020, 12:03:33 PM »
Hi guys,

Need your help with locating the fuel pump!

My car won’t started after been sitting in the garage for a while. Full tank of gas, new spark plugs and the air filter is also near new. I think the problem is the fuel pump but not sure how to get to it and how hard is it to replace.

Your help with any guidance, photos and/or PDF files would be greatly appreciated.
Hi

Hi, johnjames,

Thanks for the info on deep dish wheels. I own a 5cudo with deep dish wheels sourced by DNA. The car was built by DNA as well. I'm in the planning stage of purchasing a donor SL for my West Coast project. I will most likely consult DNA about the choice of wheels without spacers when the time comes.

I'm from down under (Australia).

Hi, johnjames, thanks for your post.

I also like the deep dish look and that's the look I would be going for myself, rather than using spacers. Although it is true that your choices of wheels would be more restricted.

I am aware that some countries have strict regulations on the size of spacers, such as Australia and New Zealand, and the dish wheels get around that problem.

Love the colour of the upholstery. Good find.

Are you planning to keep the black exterior colour?

Thanks, guys.

I was not aware there is a dash kit for Scudo. My Scudo was built by DNA and the dash looks stock. I looked around but I can't see any screws that can be unscrewed.

Hi, chaps, can someone tell me how I can remove the instrument speedo cluster off my 5cudo? I am having trouble with the petrol gauge and the lights have stopped working all together.

Cheers

Have you got some nice example wheels that can be used on SL, MADMAN?

Of course the other way to get around this is by using wheels with greater negative offset, instead of using spacers/extenders. This will also give the wheels that deep-dished look which some like, including myself.  ;)
