My thread, fitting aftermarket seats, may be of help too. I adapted the mr2 runners using some steel bar, all bolt in, no welding required.

Great news Steve.

What are you starting on next then?😉

I agree Steve's. I'd have Wayne paint any car  if I ever built another.

I wonder how he'd feel about painting a 40ft Catamaran, as I'll be more likely to build one of those in the future, lol.

Coming along nicely Steve.

Are you gonna have Wayne paint it? You really cant go wrong if you do, his work is incredible.

Great start Paul. ;D

The top part that you have trimmed back, I had wrapped around a piece of round conduit which had a nice curve in it. This was going to be a spoiler sort of affair with possibly a brake light in it as you have said.

If I recall, your rear deck was sat down lower to the wings than mine, so you'll probably end up having to add some material to the bottom edge.

I'm really please to see the project moving along.

Madman,

I gave Paul my old rear screen, which I was going to use inverted, without cutting it. It can be covered from inside by the head lining, and probably the rear demister wired back up to work too.

Good luck with it Paul.

Glad you managed to get it back in one piece Paul.

You are starting off exactly where I left off, my plan was to thicken the fibreglass, mainly on the outside due to the inside being so smooth where the foil release barrier was. Once I had thickened everything up, id then rough up the area you indicate inside and blend that to the original thickness.

You'll notice a high spot either side on the top of the original hard top, where the fibreglass joins, this I was probably going to cut and then glass over at the correct level.

I'm loving the log cabin mate and can't Wai to see your progress on the roof.

Best of luck,

Chris.

No worries Paul. A man of your talents will finish it off no problem.

I look forward to seeing it progress and I think red will look good, giving the car a totally different look.

Good luck with it all, talk soon.

Well, I've just watched her drive away! :o New owner Michael with a huge smile on his face, top down enjoying the sun. Enjoy her and take good care of her Michael.

And I am now the owner of a Porsche 911! Lol.

I'll still check in every now and again guys, but it's been a privilege getting to know you all and being part of the DNA family.

Take care one and all, I'm off to build some boats! 😊

Chris.

Let's not forget Steven's Grey with red interior. That was the build thread that led me to building mine.😉

I've never experienced a single bad comment. People seem shocked when I tell them it's a replica, and yes people do get out of your way on dual carriage ways/motorways. ;D

I'll miss it!

Chris.
