DNA supplied a carbon fibre panel as an optional extra which is what I used on my 5cudo.

Meets and Events / Classic Vehicle Restoration Show 2/3 Nov 2019
« on: July 24, 2019, 06:20:40 PM »
The official title for this show is:
Footman James Classic Vehicle Restoration Show

Date:
  2nd/3rd November 2019, 09:30 to 16:00 each day
Location:
Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6QN
Web:
   www.bristolclassiccarshows.com

This is not a kit car show as such, however, Complete Kit Car (CKC) magazine have booked one hall for kit cars - specifically for owners clubs.

If we want we can have a DNAOC stand in the hall, however:
 - space is limited
 - cars cannot leave the hall during show hours (but could leave overnight)
 - ideally same number of cars for each day, though could be different cars
 - needs to be a firm commitment to attend

We've done this show for the past few years and it's been fun, best of all considering the season it's inside AND there are heaters!

The organisers have just called me to see if we are going to attend. (They haven't even sent out the forms yet, but I've booked us a stand pending the forms arrival.)

So, let's see who wishes to attend.

Further to the previous posts and screenshot, I have spoken to the organisers of the show and they have confirmed the show dates as:
Saturday 2nd May and Sunday 3rd May 2020

Here's a link to the official list of Bank holidays:

https://www.gov.uk/bank-holidays#england-and-wales

The official date for the Early May (May Day) Bank Holiday for 2020 is now Friday the 8th May.

The reason it is delayed by 4 days is to enable more people to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
(It has been moved before - back in 1995 for the 50th anniversary celebrations - but that was from Mon 1st to Mon 8th.)

To find out more details go to:
www.classicmotorshows.co.uk

You'll need to book your ticket by the 26th July.

There is a 50p booking fee, but if you quote the promo code * that's all your ticket will cost.

* I'm not putting the code here, as it's listed in Complete Kit Car magazine. (Though if you're serious about attending just PM me for it.)

When you go to the site to request your ticket, don't click on the "Vehicle Booking Form" text lower down the page, use the big red "CLICK Individual Booking HERE" button at the top of the page.

Meets and Events / Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show 5 & 6th May 2019

Today I got a letter from Grosvenor Shows confirming our pitch as 59J.

Only a week and a half to go.

How about a list of who's intending to come and in what cars?

Hallo

English
Hello
Unfortunately, my German is not so good.
The forum is usually in English, so it's best if you could also put an English translation.
The prices of left hand drive cars may be because only a few kits were built on left hand drive MR2s.

West Coast chat / Re: WANTED: DUMMY DISC KIT & WEST COAST HEADLIGHTS
« on: April 20, 2019, 04:58:20 PM »
Hi
The car is an unfinished project and did not come with any headlights at all
Similar headlights or later Ferrari ones would suit?

The headlights are quite specific, because they need to convince the merc that it still has merc lights fitted.

Do you have all the other lights and the wiring kit?
(I thought that all the West Coasts came with the headlights and wiring kit.)

West Coast chat / Re: WANTED: DUMMY DISC KIT & WEST COAST HEADLIGHTS
« on: April 14, 2019, 11:34:15 AM »
I have just bought a West coast and want to upgrade it
I need to buy a big/Carbon brake set for the front and rear
Also there are no headlights so I need some West coast or genuine California ones
Any info or leads to find these would be gratefully appreciated
Thanks

What bits of the headlights are missing? How about posting some pics of the headlights / car etc as it might help.
The complete headlight units contain the dip/main beam unit, DRL / LED side lights and LED indicators and their control electronics. Then there's the HID bulbs and associated ballasts.

WOW, is this kit for sale?

I am told this model will not be available in kit form, however it is available for sale right now (but only as a completed car).

Insurance / Re: I'm a new member and need a number for insurance

I can provide a member number if that's what required. (The number is only visible to admins, (who know where to look!).) This is normally done by PM, as a few on here will vouch.

Anyone else interested in having their car inside at this show? It would be really good if someone with a 2Fifty could attend, as there'd be lots of interest in that especially.

I'm intending to do the forms by the end of November, so please let me know.
