The first new key has been made works fine albeit that the buttons are in the wrong place, but I can live with that

Mine has arrived, disappointingly the 433mhz rolling code txer is not compatible with the Toyota, but on the plus side, I have followed the above instructions and managed to fit the original Toyota txer in the key. Just need to set up a transponder now I have found the right instructions to program a transponder, and get the blanks cut. Thanks, Redhot, I probably would not have given up getting the key working but your tips certainly made it easier

They're unlikely to be MR2 standard?

Bump
I was just wondering about this, its not as easy as replacing the MR2 Clutch, not so much room. I also want to get the camb belt changed, I dont think its due but I just want to be 100% sure that the car is tip top

That's the Ferrari blade, just replace it with yours or a blank TOY41 key and get it cut. The keys and programmer have been sent to my friend's factory in Shenzhen, I have also ordered a leather steering wheel cover to go to the same place. I hope that everything will be shipped by the end of next week. It will take around 3 days via DHL  so a couple of weeks and I will know if they're any good

I have the standard DNA exhaust on mine, It sounds quite good. Mind you the precats have been removed so that may well help the noise

This is the key I am being sent. it may take a while to come because I have arranged for them to be sent to a factory that I have a large consignment of proximity fobs being made. Until they are ready to send the consignment I won't get the keys. I've arranged for the transponders and the programmer to go to the same place, along with some other bits and bobs.

Wow, thanks for that, from what I can make out the tx'r is 434 for real key, whereas Toyota is 433. I have asked for 433 I hope thats what I will get. I have ordered transponders separately and I although I do have a transponder copier I found there is a obd transponder programmer that works with MR2's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3qBlIMtpXM&t=6s

Thats not good, I have two cables going to the catches on mine. If no one comes along with a way of getting in for you, I will take a look at mine to see if I can work out a way. The other place to ask is on the FB DNA forum its seems busier there, though I have no idea why I cant be doing with all the Karens on FB

I've ordered two samples with TOY41 blanks 61USD depending on customs that should work out around £50.00 for the two. 4C transponders  cost £5 each, my programmer won't write to them so I need the key blanks in order to program them to my car. They are sending via DHL so it shouldnt take long to get here

Fitted the handle today, I cannot believe the difference between how it feels now to how it felt before. I have to fill it and paint it black. the passenger door should be easier now I know what I'm doing.  Also took out the Maff sensor for cleaning it was filthy so I hope this is my 171 175 fault code problem I've added injector cleaner to my fuel in case it's an injector that needs cleaning.

Decided to bite the bullet took the wickes one apart, the took my old one apart and made a good one out of the two. its bonding right now next drill adnd bolt it, then fill it and paint it I was thinking of painting the handles black the paint shop said they would want to do the whole door to be sure the colour matches (that was when I was losing the handles as we know them ie fill em in like beanies.)
