Nothing at all to do with cars but a useful tip.
We had the light bulb in the oven go. We got a spare bulb kit. This consists ( not surprisingly) of a bulb, a new glass dome and a plastic tool thing to help you undo the old dome. Sticky out bits on the dome correspond to sticky in bits in the plastic tool. As the bulb is in the roof of the oven, at the back and the design of the glass/plastic things cause the bits to cam out as you are trying to turn the thing and push it upwards at the same time.
After many attempts I had an idea. I put a piece of kitchen towel between the plastic thing and the glass. Result. It undid first go.
So if you are having a problem undoing a slippy glass thing, try a kitchen towel on it.
I would have tried elastic bands but the taper on the glass meant they slipped off.
