Well, I'm into the 11th year of the project, could it be ready for Stoneleigh 2020, doubt it. The longest DNA build ever

Thanks, but Cougar is not listed as one of the Ford models on their website.

Cougar was also known as the Mercury in the USA? Maybe try that.

Kent cams actually reprofile and can make a 'hot' cam for any vehicle, they are extremely helpful and true petrol heads. The guys are normally interested in the engine/car that's receiving one of their cam setups.

There's also Burton power products, but they'll probably just supply you a piper or kent cam.

CTM engineering have extensive performance engine building knowledge, they might be able to guide you better
http://www.ctmperformance.com/  They're helpful but busy so don't waffle too much.

Hot cams usually mean adjustable verniers, larger injectors, gasflowed exhaust manifold and a complete ecu remap.
Are you planning to do the work yourself? The basic engine rebuild isn't too difficult, considering the price of cougars, I would think about buying a good engine to do the mods on, this way you can build and still play with the 5cudo

Thanks, guys. I am hoping to squeeze as much out of the 2.5 Duratec as possible but I am getting the scent that the Cougar V6 is not worth modifying?

Need the honest truth about what can be achieve from the V6 before spending too much on it, I guess.
