Clutch removal is from the underside
Uprated clutches are designed to handle higher torque from the engine, this means that the pressure plate will have amongst other things, thicker or more plate springs, end result is a heavier clutch pedal, paddle/ceramic clutches can handle even more torque but the ability to pull away is compromised due to the almost instant grip of the clutch plate.
Hope this helps

Well, I'm into the 11th year of the project, could it be ready for Stoneleigh 2020, doubt it. The longest DNA build ever

Yeah,

As Dangerous said. Lol.

I'd only bother with an uprated clutch if you were planning some major performance upgrades. A lightweight flywheel might be a nice addition though, while you are having the clutch changed. This would give a quicker throttle response and you should see a noticeable improvement in low gear acceleration too.

You know what guys? i really apreciate your quick replys, Thankyou.

Seeing as it needs to come out from underneath would you trust a MR Clutch ext to do it or do you think they would just spend all day dreaming about owning it, PLUS they aint taking my baby for no test drive...LOL

Bump
I was just wondering about this, its not as easy as replacing the MR2 Clutch, not so much room. I also want to get the camb belt changed, I dont think its due but I just want to be 100% sure that the car is tip top
