SouthEast Build 5cudo
« on: January 23, 2011, 01:53:43 PM »
OK, it's time for me state what my next project is - actually fairly obvious from the title of this post!

It's not been a great secret, just not spoken about, in fact some of you may even have seen my car!
Back in December my donor car was taken to Birmingham, so any visitors to DNA might have spotted a black Cougar sitting there - well that was mine.

There are no pics as yet - I'm still waiting for my kit and the build to begin in earnest. There will be photos, of course, and explanations, and the trials and tribulations of the process. (For starters - I'm hoping the donor car's suspension comes apart easier than my MR2...)

Then, there's the colour to choose.....

This DNA color code thing is kinda catchy. Hope it's not my fault.  :-\

I dont think tenpin will do it red, after all the banter between us, but then again who knows  ;D
He could even do it Beema pearl white, or is it beema orange?  ;D

What are you doing with the 360 tenpin? Maybe you should keep both and paint them matching colours. Or not, it would give beemaman ideas too ;D
I know you believe you understand what you thought I said, but I’m not sure you realise what you heard is not what I meant!

Well, I have it on good  ::) authority (DNA) that I shall have my kit this week! Then, let the build commence...

Of course, then it will be time for me to choose the colour. It's not definite what it will be at the moment (though there IS a preferred one, but I'm not saying), however I can confirm that yellow and white are not in the running. After all, I wouldn't want to steal somebody else's colour would I?

Looks like I could make a start on it this weekend - just where did I leave my angle grinder and gaffer tape?

Good news Tenpin.

When do you anticipate this one being finished then?

Yeah, I know, give you a chance. Lol.

I'm interested to see what colour you go with this one, after your recent comments.

I'll stay tuned. Good luck with it.

Beany  ;D

Thanks Beany, I had originally thought Stoneleigh (2011), however as the kit has yet to get to me..... I really wanted it for Detling (my 'home' show), but that's unlikely, so I guess I'll have to shoot for Newark, which could be quite a push. Then again, there's always Exeter - look what happened when I took my unfinished 3Sixty kit there a couple of years ago!
What do you think of a fleet of Tour de France Blue cars?

Being in an Evertonian family, i would have to say a pair of blues would be quite agreeable. When Beemaman bought his Cougar i said to him how cool it would be to have a spider and a scudo in exactly the same livery.

Anyway, how about this for an option?

There's nothing like standing out in a crowd. lol.

Beany ;D

Theres a fine line between standing out and attention seeking ;) I thought our tenpin was a discreet and tasteful fellow. Maybe another TdF blu one?
