I got myself some fibreglass matting off-cuts and resin from a local guy out of the yellow pages who runs a business making fibreglass "things". He talked me through the process of how to use it to bond things together, sounded easy but I ended up being up to the elbows in the stuff, it was running all over the roof and down the sides. Several attempts later and I got the better of it, here's the result...

how many layers do you think you need to marry up the back to the front? is it a case of adding one layer of fibreglass mat at a time until they meet?

The kit meets the slope of the roof at a slight angle, the blend happens by reducing that angle with filler smoothing it into the original roof, same for the windscreen infill. The side gutters also need filling to get that rounded edge. Plenty of sanding to get it right, or get the body-shop to do it.
I'm trying to do as much as possible to keep the cost down.
Wait for the pictures...

I've bonded the doors on, needed a bit of trimming here and there. Also added a few screws to hold the skins while they bond and I'm gonna leave them in there to add strength to the join.

Doors are now firmly bonded on and line up nicely.

I've had to bond in the air scoops and grills prior to bonding on the rear as once the kit's on you can't get to them.

;D...Yeah guys, I've found it to be one of the most useful tools in the garage. Funny though, every time I use it the car seems to get smaller!! :P

Beemaman...I'm doing as much of the prep work as I possibly can to keep the costs down, so far I've had a couple of paint-shop guys come out and both have complimented me on my first attempt (and I've managed to aquire some of those tips of the trade from them on the way ;)).
It's the finishing touches that are taking time.

It's coming together nicely now...I've bonded on the front end to the sills and where it joins the windscreen pillars and screwed it down at the front. The bumper is just slid into place at the minute to make sure it all lines up.
