So more forms to fill in via dvla, two different departments doing the same thing😠
Sent one form off so hopefully this is the last one

On another note
I've bought a rear Ferrari script and a bonnet badge
It has three pins on the back, would it be best to drill the holes in the bodywork and then glue it down?
What glue to use  ? Same with the front hood badge

Just a word of warning about drilling and anything that can let water in. If you can somehow cut the pins off that would be good. Just speaking from experience, the holes will let water in and it's a bitch to fix.

"In the day" badges were mounted by the pins in the back fitting into little sealed top hat, plastic housings which prevented the metal pins damaging the paint and sealed the badge to plastic and plastic to body joints.  These were on an Austin so I don't know who else sells them.
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

drove the car to a wedding this weekend, 160 miles to Suffolk from London, first time my misses has been in it also ,
car was a great success at the wedding with everyone taking pics next to it
possibly two sales also  ,
one major problem though ,was Saturday night the passenger door lock accuator was making locking noises on its own, the lock pin wasn't going up and down ,just the noise
in the am I had a flat battery!
middle of nowhere,no phone signal , everyone hungover, car was on thick gravel so no chance of pushing it
managed to get jump leads after a hour and away we went ,the lock making the noise all the way home
today if I get a chance I'll have a look at it

At least you could get to the battery!

Don't know much about BMWs but on the Merc any strange electrical happenings are due to either a haunting or low battery voltage.  Solenoids pull a high inrush current.  If there isn't enough power it will click as it tries to pull in and fails.

Check the voltage at the solenoid under load.

Sorry if I'm teaching my Grandmother to suck eggs ( where does that come from?).

Tricky, might be worth checking the size of your battery. Mine would only give a couple of starts and then I would get the old clicking from the solenoid. When I checked the battery it was only a 64amp/hr one.

Now, on the 2.8 they recommend a 70amp/hr at least....so I put on a 75 amp/hr. It was not cheap but by crickey it was worth it.

You need to be careful checking battery/battery box dimensions....but it has made a significant difference.

On the other hand, if the locking actuator is unserviceable, I had to change mine.....its easy enough but a bit awkward and time consuming. Cost me 75 quid for an OEM actuator.
If Airfix plastic model planes are made exactly to scale, why don't they fly?

Dvla sent me all my photos back and documents with a letter saying there happy to re register the car to a Dna, they have already sent me a v5 that's been changed ,
The mot is still saying bmw z3 but they've changed it to red instead of the original colour silver
So I'll leave it at that till I need a new mot
Got my ticket to go to knebworth this Monday
As long as the battery isn't dead and my door lock isn't playing up I should be there
I will have to bring my daughter with me , not happy that you have to leave your car there till 4 pm as she will be bugging me all day
