Well, the show is over (and I'm getting my voice back).
Full marks to Grosvenor Shows for taking on the Detling show. Though it was, undoubtedly, not as well attended by either manufacturers, kit car drivers or the public as everyone would have wished. The weather was unkind - that translates as bitterly cold, wet and windy at times. As we drove up Detling hill to get to the show on Sunday, we drove into cloud, (but it had lifted by the time we left
)
The one kit car club that did put on a good attendance was Southern Kit Car Club with over 40 cars on different types on their pitch outside.
As for us on the DNAOC stand inside (only slightly warmer), we were talking to people most of the time. One of the security guards commented that whenever he looked at our stand there were always people there...
Lots of interest in the 5cudo, but, maybe surprisingly?, still quite some interest in building 3Sixty's.
Overall, I'd say, the 5cudo was the car most people wanted to see. The feature that attracted the most interest? - Opening the boot, seeing the fake engine and then the cavernous boot space underneath (and the folded down rear seats).
Here are a few shots of the 3Sixty and the 5cudo:
