I think he is more like a Super hero for struggling kit car builders around the world. Bit like Batman, dressed in black, comes out at night with his pants on the outside. He probably has a belt with spare filler and sandpaper, an array of awkward size spanners and build guides for every kit around the world, except any of the Extreme range. Even a Super hero has his limits. Probably to the rest of his family he's just an ordinary guy.

Just accept he's there Tricky and be thankful.

when asking about bonding, advice should be given by a trusted source i.e. DNA, they provide all the bonding adhesive. 'Bondo' has no real mechanical strength and shouldn't be used where strong adhesion is required Polyurethane adhesives are commonly used.

Hi, sorry to dissapoint but i am no super hero (alltough my daughter does say "Dad can fix anything" lol) i'm just a guy with 23 years experiance in vehicle  body repair and refinishing (paintwork)  I have worked at bodyshops for car dealerships (Rover, when is was a strong brand, early 90's) were i gained my city and guilds in the above, smaller independant bodyshops before becoming the leading hand in the bodyshop with  a company called Walon.LTD( now called autologic) at one of there sites in Upper Heyford, Oxon, Witch had 25000 cars on site with a 24 hour, 7 days a week operation. After being with them for 10 years i relocated up North and set up my own business doing light accident damage and paintwork. I have built and painted 2 Extreme f430's(not interior)  using the 406 and a Extreme murcielago(again not interior) for private customers. Sorry Tricky don't anybody called Nigel Rees  or Expert360,  . and dangerrous i never mentioned the use of "BONDO" in fact ive never heard of it, there are many different products on the market but the fact DNA provide the bonding paste with their kits  is excellent as this alone can be a very expensive outlay.

Their really is a whole world of bonding agents that can be used, this conversation is getting a little strange now! We have fitted kits using bondo we have fitted kits using other bonding agents, we use a semi rigid agent that is used by compaines like lotus and mclaren so it will allow the expansion of the GRP against the metal donor we also use tiger seal type top agents prior to paint and also we somtimes use a methacriclate on some parts its all depending on what you are bonding and to what! It also depends on what equipment you have to hand to use these agents and to finish the bonded area off.
