Latest update of interior plastics are all primed and painted, ready for installation now

Decided to go for the same metallic dark grey as the mirrors, wheels, splitter and diffuser, to keep everything keyed together.

So people, here is the long awaited Scuderia Front bumper for the MR2 MK3 430 Spider..
Never seen before, but now available from Barry at JudAnn Autosports.  07773 660531

Anyone wanting one, or wanting more info, contact Barry please (not me...!) as I’ve just placed the bumper on my car to make sure it fitted correctly.. and it did.. and took the pictures and video.

Here’s a link to the YouTube video of the bumper on my car I’m building

The throttle body was a head scratcher, as the previous owner / engine builder had decided it was a good idea to spray paint it all black matt, including INSIDE the butterfly :o
What a mess..!

To manually clean this and paint / Lacquer would have been quite an intricate job, so we decided to send it away for ‘Aqua blasting’’.

Which I’m sure you will agree has made it come up looking like new...

So all that was needed was a good covering of clear Lacquer.

Evening all,

Sorry I haven’t posted on here for a while, but to be honest I’ve been busy with the family and other things, but Barry has been working like a mad man achieving the below:

- So, engine bay has been fully rubbed down, etch primed and gloss black finished.
- The gearbox painted, new seals and ready for connecting back to the engine, after all that horrific black sticky paint was removed and the aluminium was cleaned.
- New callipers bought and painted
- Engine stripped (almost completely) and rebuilt, swapping all gaskets and seals, belts, tensioners, sensors, alternator, plugs, clutch, water pipes, etc etc etc....
- All pipes have been changed to new and clips have been renewed also.
- All nuts and bolts have been cleaned, acid dipped, and iodised in gold / rainbow effect.

As you can see from the last picture, you can see the detail of the finish of this engine rebuild.!

What’s your plan for the Z flaps??

They will need to be moved too before the roof can be popped up?

Are you automating the lifting of the latches too that sit on the middle of the deck, so the two rear roof sections can hook into the deck?

(Or did I miss that but on the video?)

Plus, I saw a post on face book about 2 weeks ago, saying the event had sold out and NO tickets were available on the day at the gate...
Only pre-booked tickets were allowed, and pre-booked tickets had been sold out too.

So if you haven’t got a ticket, don’t just turn up, you WILL be tuned away.

I changed it to a stainless steel one, plus all the pipes to stainless too.
Same design, although supposed better... but fully stainless defo made a change in tone..
The sound of mine is noticeably different to madman’s when we compared at one of the shows.

Love the sound of mine now :)
