So, it’s been a few days since I mentioned the addition of the black strip on the windscreen to stop you seeing the reverse side of the Ferrari clock and light pod..

Well, I’ve had to wait for a good friend to come over to help remove the snapped bolts that hold the roof catches to windscreen top.

At some point, these 4 bolts have been removed from the car, and then put back in with 3 tone of thread lock..... ::) which made the removale of the bolts near on impossible..
Anyway, steve came over with some extremely sharp drills and a new Tap, and managed the drill the bolts out and re-tap the threads, so all as good as new..! 👍🏻

So now this is done, I can look at getting the car back together again 🤗

Fantastic Mark

They look so much better than before

I know it wasn’t a cheap addition to get them repainted, but worth every penny in my opinion.

As some of you may have see, mark added the clock and light pod from the Ferrari to the top windscreen plastic..

Well I couldn’t resist and had to copy this on mine, but was a little tricky as my plastics are all painted in anthracite grey.  So one wrong slip and I would have knackered the plastics, and would have been an expensive repaint too..

Anyway, things went swimmingly well (thanks to the help of mark in his lounge one night  ;D)

But we noticed that the clock / light pod was visible from the front of the car through the windscreen, so we both decided that a blacked out section was needed to mask the vision of the back of the pod..

So here’s the section I’ve just cut out and added to the car

Just need to Wire it all up now and get the car back together.

For any of you wondering what I’m doing with the original mr2 clock, well, that’s coming out, and being replaced with 2 USB charging ports 👍🏻

(Please excuse the bad pictures, but it’s hard with the camera in he garage with artificial lights..)

Well that’s a fantastic transformation.
I bet that wasn’t cheap  :o

I looked good before, but love the dark grey

A fair amount achieved on Saturday mark.
Not the easiest job getting the water bottle fitted though mark..  not standard and completely different location, but hats off to you, your design and bracket making certainly worked 👍🏻

Now I know we don’t say this often here in the UK, but I’m hoping 2019 isn’t as hot as it was in 2018...
It was mental hot at this show, which made it unbareable to walk around and enjoy this great show.

Anyway, here is the info for 2019... (we need sun and clear sky’s please)

So just think out aloud here :  are you leaving the water bottle white, or are you considering painting it matt black, like I did on my red 430?

Plus, do you know if all the under nappies still fit ok? I presume not, until you can try it on your car?

That’s s a nice slim bottle Msark
Shame you can’t test it out fully until you have your car back home, but at least your a good way forward on the bottle.

Loving the proper Ferrari top too... 👍🏻

Don’t think anyone does a 360 dash..?!?  If you want the one that is ORIGINAL to the 360 car.

The people that have placed the Ferrari 360 into the MR2 is a big job and a lot of cutting and re-fitting..
There isn’t a fibreglass copy dash for 360 as far as I am aware, you have to buy the original dash and cut it up

Al has posted this on the DNA Facebook page

Not sure if it helps

So, it just goes to show that 100 miles between us Mark, and it doesn’t stop us working out the wiring from Toyota to Ferrari parts  👍🏻👍🏻

Still bits to be done, but looks like light and clock will work a treat.. 🤗
