Plus, I saw a post on face book about 2 weeks ago, saying the event had sold out and NO tickets were available on the day at the gate...
Only pre-booked tickets were allowed, and pre-booked tickets had been sold out too.

So if you haven’t got a ticket, don’t just turn up, you WILL be tuned away.

I changed it to a stainless steel one, plus all the pipes to stainless too.
Same design, although supposed better... but fully stainless defo made a change in tone..
The sound of mine is noticeably different to madman’s when we compared at one of the shows.

Love the sound of mine now :)

I’m sorry mark, but I’m going to have to be a bit negative here on this post...

After calling in for only an hour last night to see how you have been getting on, I’m afraid to say these pictures don’t do the project any justice at all...!

I was absolutely blown away last night at what I saw and how much had been done since the last time I had been down.. but these pictures just don’t show the level of excellence of work done..

But well done mate, it’s a credit to all the planning and hard work in the planning.. it’s certainly all coming together.. but I think a Video may be better???

The set listed above on eBay......

I believe are for a genuine 430, and will NOT fit the DNA 430, without alteration.

So a lot of money to be cutting them apart, in my opinion.

Everyone’s roleover hoops will be slightly different in thickness due to the amount of padding used when they were trimmed, and what thickness of leather was used.. so bespoke items will need to be designed and made, as far as I’m concerned.

Like everything with these cars, most things need to designed, made and fitted, as there is limited items (off the shelf) that fit.

I had a good sign writer around last year to do mine, as I hate the white inside the line.
He spent all day at the house trying different ways to get it right, but because the line isn’t 100% in width and depth, if you paint it, it looks shocking..
Luckily he only did it in paint that took a fair few hours to dry, so we managed to get it all off before it all dried on.
Needless to say, we decided, after nearly a full dad this wasn’t a way forward for my car....

Looking good Darren

A great attention to detail mate.

Did you not fancy making the rear bumper detachable, whilst you were doing all this work?

Doubtful you will see me at this years show

Health issues mean I can’t risk driving that far, so have a good weekend guys, and see you soon.

So, it’s been a few days since I mentioned the addition of the black strip on the windscreen to stop you seeing the reverse side of the Ferrari clock and light pod..

Well, I’ve had to wait for a good friend to come over to help remove the snapped bolts that hold the roof catches to windscreen top.

At some point, these 4 bolts have been removed from the car, and then put back in with 3 tone of thread lock..... ::) which made the removale of the bolts near on impossible..
Anyway, steve came over with some extremely sharp drills and a new Tap, and managed the drill the bolts out and re-tap the threads, so all as good as new..! 👍🏻

So now this is done, I can look at getting the car back together again 🤗

Fantastic Mark

They look so much better than before

I know it wasn’t a cheap addition to get them repainted, but worth every penny in my opinion.

As some of you may have see, mark added the clock and light pod from the Ferrari to the top windscreen plastic..

Well I couldn’t resist and had to copy this on mine, but was a little tricky as my plastics are all painted in anthracite grey.  So one wrong slip and I would have knackered the plastics, and would have been an expensive repaint too..

Anyway, things went swimmingly well (thanks to the help of mark in his lounge one night  ;D)

But we noticed that the clock / light pod was visible from the front of the car through the windscreen, so we both decided that a blacked out section was needed to mask the vision of the back of the pod..

So here’s the section I’ve just cut out and added to the car

Just need to Wire it all up now and get the car back together.

For any of you wondering what I’m doing with the original mr2 clock, well, that’s coming out, and being replaced with 2 USB charging ports 👍🏻

(Please excuse the bad pictures, but it’s hard with the camera in he garage with artificial lights..)
