The back plastic cover was then too big, so had to cut that down so you couldn't see it and stick it back together

I took about 15 mm off all round.
Then had to reduce the top cover which houses the horn a similar amount.

I replaced the dash with a new plasma.

Then bought the Sparco D shaped steering wheel. I had to reduce all the plastic bits to get them into proportion.
Starting with the back plate

Hi Folks,

Does anyone have a spare dash needle in a drawer they don't want ?
I have changed my dash to a plasma and I am missing a needle...... It's just for show as it doesn't work and will just be stuck on.
It's the same as the fuel or temperature gauge needle.
Can't find anything on ebay, but at the moment I have a hole.

Thanks

Hi Folks
My new Sparco D shaped racing wheel is now on I went for a spin yesterday and have to say it's FANTASTIC !

With it being so much smaller I thought it might have been a a little heavier, but no it's brilliant. So much more responsive and much easier to get in and out of the car. (looks good too)
Mind you it has been a lot of hard work converting everything

Because it's much smaller the only negative is that I can't see all the whole dash. It needs raising and the wheel is up to the maximum height.

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the height "stop"  ?  so I can get another inch out of it ?

How come when I try to post a photo it comes up with ...........  [/img]

Cheers

Hi Roland,

That would be brilliant ! Please could you send me one and let me know how much I owe you.

The new wheel has been a challenge as it's smaller and flat on the bottom, so I have had to reduce the silver back plate and the black cover which houses the horn by about 15 mm to make it look in proportion.
Then, as I used a hub, I had to re model the back plastic cover which encloses everything behind the wheel. (angle grinder and filler lol)

All just about ready to assemble and put back on.

Hi folks,
I have bought a Sparco D shaped sports steering wheel for my F430. It's been a challenge so far to fit the bits on as it's much smaller.
I have had to reduce the silver back plate to get it to fit and look in proportion and in doing so buggered up the sticker trying to peel it off - Race, start etc.
Does anyone know where I can get a new one from ?
I did try to post a picture but it was too big.
Cheers

Is there a chance anyone could help me get a steering wheel like the one on this car to fit my MR2 Mk 3 / F430 ?
