4thirty Chat / Where can I buy door glass.
« on: February 07, 2018, 09:29:59 PM »
Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can buy door windows for the MR2 without the Toyota etching?

I've not found a source, and can't see anything on the forum - maybe I just haven't found it.

Grateful for any suggestions.

Now starting the interior in anger.

Anyone have any interesting seats they want to sell?

I'm looking at all options.

Sales and Wants / Hinge Parts Lost...!
« on: June 30, 2017, 08:06:04 PM »
Does anyone know where I can buy the door handle hinge for the 430?

My paintshop has just managed to lose the screw and sprung latch on one of mine.

4thirty Chat / Rear deck hinges needed.
« on: June 13, 2017, 12:16:54 PM »
Hi All - must have messed up posting at the first attempt, trying again...

One of my deck hinges appears to have play in a pivot.

Brian said they come from a Merc Vito, but I haven't been able to match the part so far.

Anyone had to buy a hinge - and may have a part number?

The car is at the bodyshop - I'm visiting later today to see if the hinges have any ID on them but the guys there have said they can't see anything.

4thirty Chat / Intake grills
« on: May 14, 2017, 07:01:31 PM »
I stopped by Meridien in Lyndhurst to look at the Ferraris they had. One thing I noticed was that the intakes behind the doors had the square mesh grills set back from the body panel by around 7 to 8mm [est.]. I think the grills on the cars at Stoneleigh the other week actually look better than the real one. Has anybody spaced their grills away from the body opening? Any pics?

Meets and Events / Hotel for Stoneleigh
« on: April 17, 2017, 07:22:22 PM »
Unfortunately family pressures say I will only be at Stoneleigh on the Sunday.

So.... I'll be cancelling my Sunday night at The Old Mill Inn, Mill Hill, Baginton, Coventry CV8 3AH. It's for a double room and breakfast included.

I believe some of the other guys will be staying there.

Anyone want me to see if I can transfer the booking?

4thirty Chat / Badge positions.
« on: April 11, 2017, 12:01:35 PM »
Grateful for guidance please?

Is there a recognised fore/aft dimension for placing this badge?:

Also, any dims. for where the wing badges go? Has anyone 'let-in' these badges rather than sticking them on the gelcoat. I notice the real 430s have a shield shaped depression in the wing. If anyone has done this, I would like to see a pic if possible?

4thirty Chat / 430 seats.
« on: March 08, 2017, 09:47:31 PM »
Does anyone have fibreglass headrests they might want to sell, or any other parts/kit that could be used to put seats together?

I'm open to suggestions?

There's no panic as I can survive with the MR2 seats I have for the moment, but want to start getting the interior parts together.

4thirty Chat / Dash and interior choices
« on: March 05, 2017, 08:15:09 AM »
Help please...

Has anyone carbon dipped the door cards and/or the main DNA dash cover?

Looking at pics of real 430s with carbon door cards, they look a little cliniical, but I wondered if others on this forum have gone for a more bare-bones look instead of leather? Does anyone have any photos?

4thirty Chat / Rear Lights
« on: January 31, 2017, 12:24:59 PM »
Just in case anyone is unfortunate enough to need replacement lights.....

Mine being the last 4thirty kit expected to be sold in the UK, the part numbers on my lights appear different to those I've seen mentioned on the forum; Ten Pin's rear light wiring details [which were a huge help - thanks TP] stated the rear lights:

Left to right they are:
157516   157514            --------          157513   157515

The two outer lamps 157516 and 157515 are wired the same, as are the two inner ones.
Using the superseal connectors pin nos

Lamp      pin #     function     wire colour
157514    4         common     white/black stripe
&             3         reverse      red/blue stripe
157513    2         not used
               1         Fog            yellow

157515    4         common     white/black stripe
&             3         side           green (thin)
157516    2         indicator     green/black stripe
               1         brake         green (thick)

My lights are:

Outer - 185670 and 185671
Inner - 185668 and 185669

On the inners 185668 and 185669, there is a minor wiring configuration needed:

Pin 4 = common = white/black stripe - as previous
Pin 3 was reverse red/blue stripe, my light part numbers = not used
Pin 2 was not used, my light part numbers = reverse = should be red/blue stripe
Pin 1 = Fog = yellow - as previous

Sales and Wants / Badges and pretty stuff?
« on: November 14, 2016, 01:48:59 PM »
I'm starting to look for badges I will need later on. Wanting for my 4thirty:

Sill plates
Door lock access plates
Wing badges
Bonnet badge
Pinin. badges
Dash plate
Rear deck "FERRARI"
Rear panel dancing horse

Ebay and other sites have various items available. I thought I would ask here first in case anyone has parts that are gathering dust and they have no use for them/want to sell them on?

4thirty Chat / Other 430 new builds out there?
« on: July 20, 2016, 11:03:00 AM »
I know a lot of builds are never truly 'finished' because loving owners continue to find new ways to improve their pride-and-joy, but are there any other new build 430s on the go out there at the moment?

Hi All,

Picked up my 14 year old donor, and had a 400 mile round trip today to DNA and have my 4thirty kit on order.

Thrilled, and started the donor strip this evening.

Sorry to start immediately with a 'HELP'........

I'm hoping someone might have the guidance PDF. I've seen this referred to in the forum and unfortunately DNA don't have the PDF anymore. Does anyone have this available?

Would forum boredom set in if I published my record of the build as it moves forward? I realise the 430 has been done many many times now and very well by others already.
