2fifty Chat / Possible DNA250 in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
« on: December 30, 2019, 06:41:20 AM »
I think we might have a DNA250 in this movie. Couldn’t see the quarterglass in the first instance at 3:47 but at minute 14ish a fixed quarterglass was definitely visible.

FYI There is also a ‘66/7 911 TARGA AND ‘69 911S featured.

Can’t upload images from my iphone by the look of it. Apologies.

Just a suggestion:

Find an amateur photography club and do a presentation about the story around building the car, then they can photograph it. You could make it a competition and offer modest prizes that offer some recognition and compensation for the members and offer a donation to the club that’s is far less than the cost of pro photography :)

Well done mate.

Seriously, it’s the only way to go. And relatively straightforward in the big scheme of things, though I’m sure there will be plenty of “thorn and bramble” to get them right :)

I went down the track of replicating the original steering wheel in polished stainless, with all the kneels etc. Sadly, that ceased once it became clear I would never be able to buy the kit for me to fit in Australia.

It looks absolutely gorgeous. Main instruments seem at an odd angle but I must confess I’ve never checked that aspect. I note it has a digital readout on it too ... anyone know what it displays?

Also, is it deep navy or black? If deep navy it’s exceptional. If black it’s gorgrous too but there are lots of black cars around.

Looks really great bro but is it a “mottled” finish by intent or is it just a funky effect of the light?

Definitely worthy of throwing some cash at a specialist photographer I reckon. It’s such a WOW result.

Thanks for a great review of the Tenax clips. Such a great innovation. They’d look good in chrome regardless of cover trim but black looks ok too. I love the way th cover folds up.

The pillowcase seems a bit modern but I doubt it matters. If one was to retrain it, I imagine some nice boot stitching would add a more period look. But I know I’m nitpicking here. The combo of red and white is lovely mate. I’m so bloody jealous of you guys!
