4thirty Chat / I've seen the 4thirty !!!
« on: March 04, 2009, 07:44:09 AM »
Well.. what can I say  AWESOME.

I called in at DNA as I was sort of passing after collecting my interior for my murcie..

Had a brew with the boy's which gave me a chance to have a good look round the 4thirty. Now having built a 3sixty myself I know just how much work has gone into this car to make it even easier to complete.

They have gone through every single step and made it easier.. Honestly. From how each panel is made to how it fits on the car.. How the door handles work, how the boot catches work.. etc etc.. The air vents insides are now included. They have had the front lights injection moulded.. it’s just a fantastic job ! New head light brackets.. How the hoop bar fix's to the car.. The list goes on and on..

It's not just the outside either... they gave me a quick peep at what they have in store on the interior as well.. You are really going to love this.. But I'm not allowed to spill the beans yet :-(

They also confirmed for under £14k you get everything... the kit / suspension / hood / wheels + tyres.. Etc which just leaves you the interior and a few lights and paint.. I recon you could get one of these baby’s on the round if you did most of the work yourself for around £20k and..... in under 3 months from start to finish !.. that 1 month fitting the kit (could be done in a couple of weeks to be honest) 1 month at the bodyshop being painted.. (Might only take a week) and 1 month rebuilding .. I think these figures are very conservative as well..

It's a bigger meaner car...

Just awesome lads!  Well done.

There is lots more to tell.. but I really can't do it justice !.. go and see it yourself.. that's all I can say !

Meets and Events / Owners club ?
« on: November 02, 2008, 07:22:50 PM »
Under a year ago DNAOC attended there first kitcar show. I first approached the italian replica club and asked if they minded I put my car on there pitch and they said that would be find but I couldnt fly our dna flag.. so from then on we started to have our own pitch.

I then started up the extreme owners club (as I am now building a murcie) and that it would be a good idea to have both the dna and extreme cars together as I think it would benefit us both drawing more attention etc.

So I'm proposing both the dna and extreme owners club book under one name or 'group' to make sure we get a decent pitch that both clubs can share.. I also would like to welcome any other kitcar owner to display there car under this new group.

We would still have our own space but be all together and hopefully draw more attention then a forementioned club.

Please let me know your views, we would still be the dna owners club and still fly the flag etc.. just grouped together with other clubs with similar cars.

Something like the Italian kitcar group or Superkit group.. I dont know let me know what you think and if you have any names.

I am also running a similar thread on the extreme oc forum so hopefully if everyone agrees then we can get it sorted starting Jan 09. Ashley from extreme has already offered up a caravan / tent and the dna club has a big tent type thing as well.. it nothing else it would be a good bbq :-)

General Chitchat / Congrates to Tenpin !!!!
« on: August 15, 2008, 09:24:11 PM »
Tenpin has now been made Admin :-)

After talking to Roland and finding out Tenpin is the man where it comes to IT and from his recommendation and due to me now making a non-dna kit I was finding it harder and harder to split my time so I'm hoping this will only be a good thing (unless he presses the wrong button! )

I will still remain about and help and post as much as I can but its always nice to have a second point of view and eyes on things :-) I did think about Madman and Rob as well.. but roland said there bobbins when it comes to pc's.. (j/k) so I think they should be left in charge of the riggers and the camper ! Which I have no doubt I will be having a laugh in (camper not riggers) at some point this year !

3Sixty Chat / User banned
« on: July 19, 2008, 07:27:46 PM »
I have banned user colnufc because even after a couple of warnings continued to compare his kit against dna's which was doing no good and upsetting other members, if a person thinks that a dynamic kit is better then go and buy one. this forum is not a general kitcar forum but for dna kitcar owners. I dont want it turning into 'my kit is better than yours' and its a complete waste of forum space and bandwidth which I pay for. sorry if this upsets anyone. there are plenty of kitcar forums to go post on if you feel like comparing kits.. this isnt one of them. Nither is the extreme owners club which I also run. This is a forum for dna owners..

3Sixty Chat / Ferrari Dials, Sills and Door plates.. Preorder
« on: April 17, 2008, 05:45:20 PM »
I will be picking these up tomorrow. I will be only selling them as full sets. I am getting in total 20 sets.

This is what they look like..

The dials have been done so they include the 10% speed alteration needed because of the bigger wheels that are fitted.
The sill and door plates are etched so the wording / logo wont rub off.

They will go on first come first served.. The price to DNA members is £120 + postage and paypal costs (if paying via paypal)

If you want a set then please add your name to the list below..

So just copy and paste the list and add your name too it. I have tried to keep the price down as much as I can. I will have some more shots of them installed on my car if the weather is ok

Just add your name below.

« on: April 15, 2008, 09:21:59 PM »
Hi fella, how are your flaps working out.. them folding in ones where mine fold out ? I'm only asking as I snapped one off today getting in my car.. it was bound to happen. I was to busy looking at a bit of skirt and wasnt watching what I was doing.. and yes she was worth it.. I have 1/2 repaired it already and just needs a bit of matt black paint on it now and it will be as good as new....

I knew I couldnt get through the day without breaking something !

3Sixty Chat / Bloody Bulbs !
« on: April 15, 2008, 11:30:34 AM »
Getting a bit fed up of the bulb failer.. lol

For what it costs.. stick new bulbs in ! I have had to change my rear bulbs (break bulbs) about 3 times now.. learnt my lesson the last time and put new ones in rather than ones I've had floating about in a bag. I can reach the rear bulbs without any problems really from the engine compartment but you need nice weather. Anyway.. pay the extra tenner and fit new ones then you can forget them for a bit.. lol

As for the front ones, well. One of my HID Ballest (spelt right?) boxs went so I contacted the guy in HK where I got them and 4 days later a new box arrived FOC, thought that was very good. Anyway so I removed my wheel arch and started to swap it out. I couldnt quite click the new one into place so gave the cable a little tiny TUG.. hmm seems my TUGs are to strong.. out popped the bulb in a few parts. So I'm now awaiting some new bulbs from the UK this time. So no night driving for me for a while.. 2 lessons learnt.. 1. alway use new bulbs , 2 dont tug to hard !

3Sixty Chat / Do I sell or dont I ?
« on: April 09, 2008, 09:35:07 PM »
Well as it will soon be the Stoneleigh kitcar show and I'm still very overdrawn at the bank I may sadly have to put my 360 up forsale. I wouldnt be accepting anything less than 32k for it and thats minus the reg plate and my car pc.  If the reg plate and car pc was to be included then I would be looking around £35k

I know that without blowing my own trumpet its one of the best examples around and will also have the fake discs / dash / sills etc fitted ready for the show.

Its something I really dont want to sell and I wouldnt sell my baby to any old numpty... the cars been given a lot of t.l.c so would expect the next owner to do the same.. lol

I would of course be building another one as soon as things start looking up, I simply cant decided if I want to sell her.. Its only costing my 70 quid a month in interest on my overdraft so it aint that bad.. lol hmm decisions

I've managed to get most stuff back but may of lost a few attachments.. but at least all the posts and user details are safe and saved.

I will rebuild the site tomorrow night when I have some time I hope.. but please feel free to still post etc and it will all be carried forward.
