i know buddy im almost asleep but i cant log off lol  :)

maybe best leave the filler cap for another day and carry on with another part.

you can always come back to it but your like me (cant sleep if somethings not right)

the bodyshop should be able to sort out most the work.ive learnt since doing one of these theres more than meets the eye..

well worth the hard work though mate.

all my kit is bonded into place and ive had to try rework the rear engine lid as they dont run too parralel with the rear end..

were you having the problems??

not much happening this week im afraid.

got all my new glass now (after dropping my screen the other week) chipping  the bottom...

not bad price as the glass does not bear the toyota or made in japan sign lol  :)

the man we use for our screens etc sold me the front screen and 2 door glass"s and seals etc for £250 fitted when im ready.which after my dropping mistake wasnt too expensive..

hopefuly may get a  few hours on her sat morning as going stafford with my dad sunday have a look round and take some pics..

anyone else heading there the weekend  :) ?

whoops buddy i see your dilema...

it may be possible that you would have no problems with it flying open ??

do you have a small elec or airsaw so you can cut around the fuel cap (it cuts anything without dmageing other parts)

it would leave a clean straight cut ready to re-fiberglass back in..

lol beany i do feel special  :) sounds like you got the solanoid idea down well buddy.so you are filling and smoothing out the door handle holes.going for the smooth look lol

just a thought beany are you bonding your mirrors directly to the doors?? if so then i came up with making a metal plate to fit inside my mirrors with a hole for the wiring to pass and 3 small bolts welded from back of plate,so then you can bond the plate into mirror and measure were the bolts go through door, drill them then you can put mirror on and put 3 nuts and washers other side to hold mirror on,its then removeable at any time..hope this may help  :)  :)  :) ile try and put some pics on for you as soon as ive got plates back from powder coaters.........

looking forward to seeing some more build pics mate.its like im in another world now building this car.its great lol

hi beany yes you are correct mate the scudo calipers and larger front discs.ive mixed that colour paint myself on my mixing scheme just wanted a one off colour not as white as the novitec,im still deciding on colour of car though, ferrari colour or something differant.i just dont know.so what colour you having your calipers buddy?? got to measure up the b-post pulls and make some brkts to fit inside b-post so can remove the pulls at anytime...its gonna be a long winded project buddy but im loving it,well you never know i may be painting a few of these one day lol lol
just had all my new glass come today.i ordered 2 new door glass"s and a front screen (i dropped mine and cracked it) bloody idiot eh

what plans have you next for yours..............

cheers dangerous

yes its going really well buddy, ive already got 4lts of polyester 2 pack primer, followed by days of block flatting lol then a couple of light coats of 2 pack primer should take away those ripples, ive seen so many people mate like you say building these kits but the finer detail you mention doesnt get done,a shame really as these are without a doubt the best kits out there,,its the bodywork that makes or breaks these cars, but ive got loads of patience and willing so should turn out to how id like it.......ile try posting up the little bits of build as and when i do get time to work on her  :)  :)  :)

in this picture ive noticed on most kits that the osf door seems to not line up correctly with the osr quarter panel.so ive repaired and re-aligned my door line up correctly.all these little things take time but will make for a better finished job.just means it will take me longer beany so you will defo finish yours before me lol  :) :) :) .........

the discs have stainless bolts and washers and nuts.because there only dummy ones and not the original working ones you can use stainless, its not as strong as the proper 8.8 or higher.ive spaced out the disc to the center disc to make it seem like an original discs..ive also rubbed the outer disc down with 80 grit sandpaper to take the shine off.im also fitting genuine front bumper washer jets and ive also included a picture before i fit them............
