Thought it might be. Vastly more practical choice for a one off custom I believe, especially when used in a convertible. I assume french stitching is an acquired skill over time ... Hard to be the look and durability of the process. I always thought it was called boot stitching but I guess that must be something else.

You should be very proud mate.

Cheers mate

I suspect it has several different names to be honest. It's not too bad with a little practice, the tricky part is keeping it at an even distance from the first seam, especially on corners, bends etc.

Sorry mate, nothing more at the moment. My wife's just had major surgery, so concentrating my efforts elsewhere for now.

I will get back to it in a few weeks, although I should concentrate on the hard top before the weather gets bad and trim seats when its cold and wet.

Off to the hospital now, but will post more as and when it happens.

Beany.
Hope Sue recovers soon.  I know how much she means to you.

Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

Thanks guys, pain and green vomit today, so she's not having a great time of it, but we'll get her through this one like all the others.

If you mean the one earlier in my build thread, that was me messing about. That was my Giallo Modena    car in primer or undercoat, can't remember which.

Pearl white would look cool though.
