Hi guys

Starting to look forward to the shows and this is the 1st one i can attend this year, Whos going, also anyone thinking of camping, im gona camp the night but looks like ive got company in the form of a 6 year old who thinks hes sonic the hedgehog so should be fun!!!.

Anyone camped here before, do you need to pre-book and do they allocate you a space or if theres a few of us can we just set up where-ever?

Anyone booking a club stand?

Roland/brian, you slumming it in a tent?

OK, you beat me to it! (I was waiting til after Detling, before posting about Stoneleigh.)

I am waiting for forms from Grosvenor, so that I can book a club space for us. (They did send them out in November apparently, but not to us!) I'm going to say the usual "We'll have about 6 cars attending" - not that we've ever managed that before!

You don't need to pre-book, but there is a discount if you do - forms need to be returned by 23rd April. There's also a difference in the price if you arrive in a kit car - the driver gets in free, it's also cheaper for the passengers as well if you're camping and staying both days. You can camp from 11:00 on Sat 1st until 12:00 on Tues 4th May. There's entertainment (a live band) on the Sunday night.

Last year Rob360 was there with his DNAOC "support" vehicle and I had a tent. It was very cold.... The DNA guys disappeared off in the late evening (after they'd done a BBQ) - home or somewhere.

As soon as I've got the details of our stand I'll post details. If there's any other questions post away and I'll try and answer them.

thanks tenpin for the info, Thats good news, im coming in my 430 so free for me, you carnt knock that, just the little one to pay for, Now i need to figure out how to fit a tent, sleeping bags, a change of duds and a case of beers in my 430 

shame detling is just a bit to far for me, roll on may!!!

                I manage to fit my tent (the £5 special ) and two sleeping bags behind the seats, in front (under bonnet) a change of clothes and more important a cold 24 pack in cool bag with ice packs. what more does anyone need.

Bad news is you'll have to pay for weekend's camping, £5 for the kitcar driver and £5 for a child passenger.

As for what the car will hold - you'd be amazed! If you look at some of the pics from previous shows you'll see the tent that I've used - it looks more like the car will go in the tent than the other way round!

You'll see that I'd started a thread on this show linked to the forum calendar - anyone have any objections if I merge the two?

@Madman Are you really going to stay overnight at this show?  Normally there's an overwhelming call to head off to a Greek isle at this time of year / weekend!

I should add that camping is available, but it's not free. Don't blame me if I get this wrong.... These are the prepaid prices - forms returned to Grosvenor by 23 April.

Camping costs for the weekend (including admission on both days):
Those arriving in kitcars: Driver £5, Adult passenger £15, Child passenger (6-12yrs) £5

Non kit cars: Adults £25, Children (6-12yrs) £10

Ill have a trial run this weekend, ill put the tent, sleeping bags, clothes and my lad in the car, nip to tescos and get 24 beers, Ill then drink half of them and attempt to get the tent out of the car and put it up in my carden whilst turning on the grass sprinker with a burger in one hand for good measure, Ill let you no how i get on, might need a couple of attempts at this

When I came in my 360 I used the space where the hood folds into to pack things too.. camping things like 240v extention / 240v heater etc.. only to find out there were no power hookups.. lol but the space might be useful !

Lambo is moving forward and WILL be at a show this year.. unsure if it will make Stoneleigh sadly but we shall see.

DNAOC Stand Update:
Last year we were miles from anywhere at the very back of the ground (plot 6) and that had been allocated to us this year.
Now, this is subject to receiving written confirmation, I've just spoken to the organisers and they have given us plot 59P.
This is very close to the main halls, so should be a much better site than last year. There will also be space for us to camp on that site as well.
I'll post a map / directions once I get confirmation, but if you've got a plan of the site already, 59 is the grey block between 5th and 6th Street, just below Halls A-E. (Reminds me somewhat of "if you're watching in black and white, it's just behind the blue!") 
Things are starting to come together for this show so let's see if we can't have more than just mine and Madman's cars there.

Remember if you want their discount on entrance etc send your money and forms back to them by 23rd April.
