Hi

I will be shortly making a decision as to which of the above two kits I will be buying having ruled out (probably the better) extreme kit as this is based on a front engined Pug 406. Both remaining kits appear to be very similar i.e based on size of a MR2 rather a real ferrari and are straight bolt on.

Having dicussed matter with Enzo, it would appear they are willing to supply, fit and paint the kit at a discounted price to that advertised on their website. Their packages are currently on ebay.

Has anyone experienced buying from Enzo?

DNA would be better for me as more local but during these difficullt economic times, price also is a factor and there appears to be very small differences between the kits.

hi, welcome to the forum, just my 2 cents here, i have a lot of respect for the enzodesign kit and its ease of fixing but its not even in the same league as the dna, its far too short and not as wide as the real thing unlike the dna etc. resale value would also be an issue as the dna has proven to do well on resale, i would say for accuracy the dna is closer to the extreme however as good as the extreme kit is i have heard a lot of stories regarding quality if service, this can not be said about the dna as i have never heard any issues regarding missing parts or waiting time plus dna are always at the other end of the phone. at the end of the day its your choice, assess your options and choose what you are happy with but when i sell my dna360 think i will be considering the dna430 Grin Grin Grin

As this is the DNA Owners forum your answer might be alittle biased.

I haven't seen many enzo kits at all to be honest other than if I remember a part fitted 430 kit at a show last year. If this is the same kit (was in blue if I remember rightly) then in the flesh it just didnt look right at all.

I don't know of the price difference but I would defo say even if it's a few grand I would still pick the DNA. All kit sellers will seem 1st class before they have your money, only after when you need there support do you find out the truth.

For this simple reason you only need to read through these forums that when you need a question answered / extra parts / advice then DNA are second to none.

My advice to you is go down and see both companys, see what comes with the kit, see just whats involved and then decide. Ask them to provide afew other customer numbers so you can have a chat with them, see if they have had any problems...

The cheaper product aint always the best option in the long run.

Complete Kit Car magazine has featured both company's ask them for their advice one of the guys at complete kit car mag a guy called has even fitted an enzo design kit with enzo designs to his own car speak to the mag get some advice from someone who is not part of the manufacturing part of the industry who has the consumers interest to look out for their is a guy on the forum here who spent 15k on a built car from Enzo who did not come up with the goods so he got his money back and brought a DNA and as far as Im aware is now happy with what he has. On another note look at the pics of a real car along with the sizes etc and look at both kits and then make an informed choice dont just look at pics go and see the manufacturers its a lot to spend and also work with your budget do what you can afford, buy right on the way in sell right on the way out.

About 12 months ago we were invited by one of the leading mags to turn up to do a photo shoot with the other replica kit manufacturers Dave Jones, Enzo, Dynamic, Extreme, and some one else but cant remember them only us and Dave turned up!
and the results were published see complete kit car contact them they will tell you the inside story of who does what it says on the tin. Good luck with your choice I hope you choose DNA for the quality of product and support from us and the community here

CdRsKuLL said it right.  "WOW" you are in a very good situation.  You are in a place where you can see and touch all three.  Only you know your budget and what is best for you.  Do your research and good luck.

Hope to see you back soon.

Just to add my two-pennys-worth... CompleteKitCar mag reported on the start of their enzo build, back in their October 2009 issue. I've yet to read that it's been finished...

There's a good forum here (well I would say so  Grin  Grin ) with plenty of help and advice available for you, by people who've built the kits themselves. The overall standard of kits and build is very high, so much so that some pretend they are real Ferraris, others are happy to show them off for what they really are at shows and be judged by everyone who turns up.

It's your choice, of course, go visit the manufacturers see what you think, talk to builders (talk to several for each kit), then decide. If you choose DNA, and why shouldn't you?, then you won't be disappointed.

The questions to ask of all kit car manuafacturers are:

1) Can I see a completed kit

2) Can you give me the name of three people who have completed this kit

3) How long did it take to complete the Kit.

These answers will tell you everything you need to know, I belive in regard to Extreme, Enzo and DNA, two out of the three will say. No, No and Not saying. Although that may be a little unfair on Enzo.

Whichever kit you go for its going to cost and I know that budget can be a major factor when you buy anything . The one thing you dont want is grief in any shape way or form after you purchase. Buyer beware. I am the guy who bought from enzo just prior to magasine feature of him that to my knowledge has never been completed. I was kept waiting for months for a factory built car that never materialised my stress levels went through the roof in the end I was almost having kittens thinking not only was I never to see the car I shouldnt see my money back either. Im not out to rubbish him all I can say is do your homework. What I will say is that DNA have got it sorted. I got my kit from them in december the build is going well and because the rear end of the car is 1 panel only there are no alignment problems that you might have with  other similar products. in fact the whole build so far has been a walk in the park. For the odd times when you might get stuck they have that sorted too . theyre just a call away. I cannot fault them. novakit
