No need for IVA - its "only a panel change". You may need to get the V5 changed, however it is still a 2 door softtop originally manufactured by Toyota. If you've changed the colour, then they'll have to be told that.
Hopefully Madman will post his experiences on this thread as to what happened when he got his V5 updated.

Just some information;
If you need to export the car, you need to change more on the V5.
If you want to register the car in my country, Holland, you need to prove to the Dutch DVLA (RDW) that the car was approved and drove like this in the UK.
So you need to have the V5 on which it is stated that the bodykit is installed. To avoid al problems, you need to have stated on the V5 what the new width of the car is.
If you import a car like this in my country with nothing written on the V5, you will never get it registered here....

Re updated V5,
                     I notified DVLA that I had fitted a 430 panel kit and changed colour as with my previous Ferrari replicas, but this time they sent me an appointment with the VOSA to have a VIC check. This entailed checking my VIN and engine nos. Having found these in order I had to fill out a registration form and was told I could no longer call it a Toyota, but anything I wanted (except Ferrari) for V5.
I asked if I could call it a DNA 430  this agreed forms and photo,s were sent off for change.
A week later I received the amended tax disc with DNA 430 on then four weeks later received the V5 log book stating the car is a Ferrari replica. (Also keeping original registration no.)
hope this helps.

Received my updated V5 registration document back from the DVLA today... after having the inspection done about 3 weeks ago.. very painless exercise and well worth it.
I informed the DVLA that I'd had a proffesionally fitted DNA panel kit fitted to my car by DNA Automotive, and they then said, you can no longer call it a Toyota and we'll need to inspect it.

An oppointment came through for me to present my car at the DVLA in Birmingham Granby Avenue, and also asked me for a receipt just to prove what kit had been used.

On the day of the oppointment everything went well, sunny day so I turned up with the roof down in all its glory.

The guy that came out to inspect the car, was very blown away with the quality and said, we have to check many kit and replica cars, but have never seen one as good as this, and procceded to drool over it more than inspect it.

After the drool was over, he then said is it possible that he could sit in it and have a photo taken on his mobile phone... I said sure you can.... and did

Car is now registered as a DNA 3 SIXTY and no longer a Toyota, which helps a great deal if the police decide to stop you if they've got nothing better to do, and will greatly add to it's re-sale value.

Thanks again to Madman for all his advice and help he's provided on this subject.
