Hi Mick will the wind be on for the show in February can't wait to see it you have spent a lot of time and effort on the wing it would definitely make the back of the car look different. Only 5 weeks and 3 days to go take care buddy.
Drive it like you stole it

JJ.  The wing will be on for Shepton, even if it's fitted with double sided tape down at the show.

George is getting excited about meeting Brian for the first time.  :-)
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

Picked up the dipped wing from carbon magic today.  No pics at the moment 'cos there’s not a lot new to see over previous pics but it looks good.
As I can only fit it if the car is in the garage and I’m on the drive I need a couple of warm, well not freezing days (forecast for next week)

Pics when it’s fitted.

Now that the the two days of summer are here I’ve gone back to outside jobs.  The main diffuser wing is now mounted.

I’ve decided to redesign the centre mounting to make the wing more rigid before I fit the intermediate mountings.  I’ve redesigned it to incorporate a badge similar to the one on the front grill.  Unfortunately I’ve run out of black filament but some more should be here today.

I’ll post pictures when I get a bit further on.

Filament in yesterday, designed and printed a new pair of mountings (I think this is the fourth iteration) and I have a big decision to make.  Do I put the badge in the middle using the new mountings or do I use the intermediate mountings which are inline with the existing wing support.

Comments please ( I’ll read them, consider them but I might take no notice.  :-)

Don’t bother with the comments folks, it won’t fit with the original vertical strake so the badge is going in the middle.

Wing almost finished.  I say almost because I’ll leave the rubber trim in place for a couple of days to take a set so it’s easier to get back on and then glue it in place.
It’s not 100% but it’s not bad considering, other than the Gurney flap ( the rubber bit) no part is more than 8” long.  Could it have been better.  Yes.   The bonding of the supports could have been neater,  other than that, not realy.

Pic 1).  The end winglet.  Looks as though it’s part of the aero but the truth is I couldn’t think how else to finish the end of the wing.

Pic 2).  The intermediate mountings.   Just got to put a bit of black paint on to cover the white mark on the wing I made when I was keying before bonding.

Pic 3).  The centre support and NOVITEC badge.   It matches the badge on the grill.  I’ve no idea why this picture is smaller than the others, but it is.

The Furrari will be at the Stoneleigh kit car show on Sunday and Monday.   Come and see it in the plastic.

Final post on this thread from me.

This weekend was the first time since I fitted the lower diffuser wing that I have been out in bad conditions.  Previously I would expect the back of the car fo be filthy but it was only as dirty as the rest of the car.  The wing was covered in dirt and sand but the back of the car was clean.   IT WORKS.
