Hi Folks
My new Sparco D shaped racing wheel is now on I went for a spin yesterday and have to say it's FANTASTIC !

With it being so much smaller I thought it might have been a a little heavier, but no it's brilliant. So much more responsive and much easier to get in and out of the car. (looks good too)
Mind you it has been a lot of hard work converting everything

Because it's much smaller the only negative is that I can't see all the whole dash. It needs raising and the wheel is up to the maximum height.

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the height "stop"  ?  so I can get another inch out of it ?

How come when I try to post a photo it comes up with ...........  [/img]

Cheers
OXO

Other than a series of "......." you don't say what happens. Have you looked at the bits I wrote on posting pictures?

(Depending on how you're trying to do it, that may provide a few pointers.)

I replaced the dash with a new plasma.

Then bought the Sparco D shaped steering wheel. I had to reduce all the plastic bits to get them into proportion.
Starting with the back plate

I took about 15 mm off all round.
Then had to reduce the top cover which houses the horn a similar amount.

The back plastic cover was then too big, so had to cut that down so you couldn't see it and stick it back together

Now it's all fitted and is absolutely brilliant to drive with. The wheel is moulded to take your thumb and palm and really comfortable.

I think it looks ok too.

It would be perfect if I could raise the steering wheel a bit more so I could see all the dials.

Any suggestions for a new head unit that will fit which has front and rear cameras, CD, DVD and possibly a sat nav ?

Not too expensive as I can't hear anything over 50 mph lol
