Hi John,
Soak overnight in wd spray again next day tap several times with hammer spray again tightening motion spray again and undo
Usually works fine or a bit of heat around bolt. I once had some chewing gum remover that sprayed on to bolts made them extremly cold contracting it. That seemed ro work too

Two and a half litres of WD40?    You could undo most of the bolts holding the Titanic together with that lot.
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

Hi Mick my arms feel like I've undone every Bolt on the Titanic the bolts on my brakes were really hard I'm glad I had so much WD-40 and a big hammer post pictures of the old discs and a couple of pictures of the new ones. Also painted the calipers as I had some red paint leftover from my west coast.

I like to give new discs a coat of BBQ paint, it rubs off on the contact surfaces as soon as the brakes are used but does stop the rest of the disc rusting in front of your eyes.
You can often get the BBQ paint in poundland.......................for a pound!

You can also buy barbecue paint in B&Q in gloss or Matt they do it in spray or brush and if you go on a Wednesday you'll get it 10% cheaper if you've got a diamond card that is if you're over 60. But you have to watch out if you go in your 250 GT as you get older wrinkly groupies around your car with their Nora Batty stockings and Bridget Jones knickers I'm getting excited already.

Matt spray is the best, goes on very thinly. My rear discs were scrap due to the rust inside the drum, nothing to do with wear. A coat of paint would have saved them.
Whule you are doing the discs, give the back splash plates a spray with some rust killer and give them a coat of paint to stop them from rusting away. Worth giving the ABS pickup wheel
a clean with some brake cleaner and a toothbrush.
I had to replace the rear plates as they had rusted around the holes that mount the handbrake shoes. Pig of a job. The front splash plates were both missing, just some
rusty mounting points left. Another pig of a job that I still have to do.

Yes I know what you mean I'll still got some more work to do but at the moment is up and running ready for Stoneleigh I'm in bloody hospital again this week but I'm hoping to be out Friday dinner time. Then give the jam jar a clean ready for Stoneleigh. I'm still trying to find out what suspension springs people have been put in on the back of their cars because my car it's ok but when you've got two people in it the back goes right down. At the moment all I've got is the little Tesco's Hudl which is my outside Lifeline as I've been told I can't use my mobile phone because I'm lit up like a Christmas tree to a monitor. But my little hudi doesn't seem to effect the machines I only problem is getting it charged. I have posted about the rear Springs on my car trying to find out what other people have got perhaps I can find out at Stoneleigh John James

Hi guys was asked at Stoneleigh where I got my ashtray. The ashtray is a cigarette case that I got from eBay there about 12 to £14.
The Ferrari and Pininfarina flag I bought from eurospares click on their website and you go to the Ferrari website at the top of the page it says part number. Part number is 64460400 ferrari-pininfarina flags I paid about £63 that was delivery and VAT

Hi guys ordered my new springs they arrived about a week ago. Thank you for letting me know what one's to get. Got the ones with the 30mm drop when I stand the new Spring against the Old Spring there isn't much difference between the two but after fit them on the back my car seats 66 mm higher. so now it is roughly the same height as Sir percival and handles a lot better. Have decided to fit my new springs for the front when I take the car off the road in the winter months as it seems to handle very well at the moment with the old springs on the front.
Picture 1 is the new Spring and Old Spring together new Spring is the red one.
Picture 2 is the new Spring sitting in the back of the car.
