Sorry for the lack of pictures
The car is coming on well, but not wanting to rush this rebuild.

Interior and seats are looking smart, but having to make some seat brackets / runners for the seats to fit into the car, as the seats are not MR2

Pictures next weekend  ;D

Still lots to do Wayne,
Engine needs taking out and the engine bay needs painting.

Then the car needs building up,
Then all the underside needs looking at
I have all the new :
Callipers
Discs
Pads
Arms etc

But lots to do, especially only when I get saturdays on the car now

Just a quick updates on the build...

All interior plastics have been rubbed down, undercoated, painted in graphite grey, then ‘Matt lacquered’.

Engine is out, and is getting all new parts :

Timing belts
Water pump
All new gaskets
Clutch
Plugs
Etc etc etc

Nothing is being missed..!

V6 engine has been ported also, so getting better air intake too.

Engine bay has all been rubbed down and prepared for paint.
Wiring loom has been stripped and re-covered with new covering and black tape.

Intake manifold has been bead blasted, acid 8 undercoated and painted in metallic graphite grey.

Rocket covers have been cleaned and re-powder coated in red.

Not driven it, to be honest.

I’m not adding the flywheel, as the costs are running away as it is, and the new owner won’t pay more because I have done upgrades.
It’s costing enough to upgrade to all Bc coilovers, new clutch, timing belts, gaskets, water pump, etc etc etc etc

I’ll be lucky to cut even on the build at this rate  :o

For mine, I’m looking at Turbo charging the 1ZZ, as it gives remarkable power, and a fraction of the cost....

So

A bit of work done today on the red 430

We noticed that when ‘Woodsport’ has fitted the 3.0 V6, the engine mounting on the chassis was made too big, and the engine has been banging on the mounting  :o

As you can see from the first picture to the second, we have had to reduce the size by a fair amount.

You may also notice that I’ve had to rub a lot of the red paint off the engine bay....
When the engine bay has been painted, the person doing it (I presume Woodsport again), did not scotch pad the original blue paint, and just sprayed over it with red  :(
It’s not taken long for all this paint to be flaking off.... aaarrrggghhh

So now having to scratch off all the red paint on the engine bay, ready to make it good for etch primer and proper paint next weekend.
