Hydro printing
« on: February 16, 2017, 09:19:05 PM »
Hi everyone just a quick question I'm in process now of setting up unit next door for hydro chroming and I'm thinking of starting hydro printing or better known water transfer printing for carbon fibre etc

My question is how popular would this be ???

I've already had a few things done like fuse box lids and suspension tops

But more to do  >:(

I have a few bits to do. About a dozen at the moment.  The first four are just about ready to do concurrently with the engine cover parts.
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

Unless hydro has come a bit further in technology I would just rather get real carbon and overlay parts. Just looked too fake from ones I personally seen with no depth and colors off. Interested to see pictures.

Brian has yet to ship out my 5cudo, maybe could get headlight buckets dipped.

After a little digging it really looks like it counts on the quality of weave used for dipping. I'm just used to the early 2000s of the grey and black checkered fake look. Looks a lot more real now!

Like so... I seen worse. Fake cheap eBay China stuff

If Airfix plastic model planes are made exactly to scale, why don't they fly?

Sir P.  That's why a group of sheep is called a flock.

R6G.  Trust me, FC dip has come a long way since the early 2000‘s.  Many people think mine is real.

At one of the shows we were with one of the Ferrari owners club.  One of the lads worked out that if all my CF was genuine Ferrari CF it would have cost over £100,000.

My new one is at Wayne's on Friday to be painted from top to bottom... can wait, wouldn't let anyone else do it... :D

Yeah it sure has come a long ways and looks real. If the cost isn't too much, maybe snag my mirrors from Brian or the guys at DNA before everything gets shipped over here to the USA.
I would say headlights but am doing OEM real lights.
