Just had a thought regarding the quarter glass. I know it's a bit of work but what isn't?

... Make the quarter glass fully functional as it would've been in the 60's. Chrome up the pillar, cut glass, add chromed mechanism and hinge system, potentially taken from another vehicle such as an MG. voila! Turn a negative into a true elbow-resting-on-the-door breezy joy

:D

"Not original!!!" you scream? I guarantee, no two ferraris were the same back then so why would it matter???

A very nice car, don't really go for older looking ones. But tempted on this one, in Red of course. ;)

Thanks guys, Fortunately the steering boss I have been looking at comes with the necessary wires to ensure that the light stays off....so no problem at all then, great. :)

Looks fantastic. One of my all time true classics. Looking forward to seeing this. Love it. Colour, doesn't really matter on this car, looks great in any classic colour. Black, simply classy.  :)

P.s. You need to get that wooden steering wheel fitted. Have a look on madaboutkitcars site under tribute. A few guys are building a 250SWB replica and it's the same donor and some have fitted wooden steering wheels. I looked at this at Stoneleigh last year but the quality of the kit was not great to say the least.

If Airfix plastic model planes are made exactly to scale, why don't they fly?

Holy sh1t you got the perfect angle of photo there mate. Very keen to see detailed pics of this baby. Would LOVE to attack the interior and fabricate operational quarterglasses.

got home ok on Saturday, took my time ,a steady 80 mph all the way
gets lots of looks from all ages and genders, all looking to see what make it is ???
it's  still registered as a silver bmw with the dvla so wanted to get it home without plod noticing me

v5 sent off to dvla a few weeks ago and they have sent another form to fill in >:(

today , I managed to clear all my tools and Rubbish from one garage to another so I could get the car in
but with the rain pouring down all night and day I've got a leak on the roof

going to get a new roof fitted in the next couple of weeks, got a company to come to mine to do it
not the cheapest but there local (£650 ) after watching a you tube video on how to do it, I'll leave it to him!
next is to take it to dorking to a convertible roof specialist, my roof has always not worked
I've had three people look at it ,but not properly, this co charge £60 to diagnose, and if they can fix within that they will.
they have a good reputation and its only about an hour from me

next is to badge it or not?
I've got all the badges except the rear script , anyone got one to sell?

I'm not badging, but tempted to get a Califorina script made for the back (where Ferrari would have been)
