Getting ready Tools
« on: April 02, 2015, 10:13:31 AM »
I need to buy a few tools so I can maintain my new toy.
As ferrari replicas are so low what trolley jacks would you recommend to get under there?
I know a normal trolley jack won't fit unless you drive it onto blocks first.
Example below

Mine was a cheap jack, not specifically a low car one, but it does fit under my car with about 10-20mm to spare!
What colour should a Ferrari be?...ROSSO of course!

Make it a West Coast and it's not a problem.  Press a button and the car rises an inch, press it again and it goes up another inch.
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

Yeah. My trolley jack is very close so if your buying from scratch get the low one. You'll need it a lot.

This was the one I bought, and I haven't used it yet.
I find the original MR2 jack to be the best....

Because....

It, has the cut out for the under sill....  So it fits perfect, and gives you more than enough lift.

So personally, don't waste your money...

Just my opinion.

If you go to www,machinemart.co.uk you can go online to find your nearest shop,
I bought my jack from them it is a low profile jack the saddle is 80 to 380 mm I paid £47.98 with vat work well, and they have lots of other good bits and pieces.
Drive it like you stole it
