Collected the exhaust parts late in week ready to start fitting at the weekend. Pipe diameter is 3”  :o so was a challenge to fit the whole system in. Big thanks to lee for doing a 3 hour round trip to collect the additional pipes we desperately needed  :D. Going to get the whole system ceramic coated and at the moment leaning towards dark grey but may change. Due to the restricted space we couldn’t fit the electronic diverter so now looking at vacuum valves further down the system. More to do on the pipe work but majority of it done.

Looks good Mark..what are your/Barry's thoughts on exhaust heat wrap.....I don't want to wrap the manifolds just the exhaust pipes but some people say that you can crack the exhaust...and it damages it as it gets too hot.....any thoughts anyone....
Has to be V6 power and SERIOUS NOISE !!!!!!

Hi Andy, lee has his wrapped and is now going to change to ceramic. I’m sure lee will be able to tell you more. And I believe if ceramic coated internally keeps the temperature lower. We are going to go see the coater to get more info and look at available colours.

my exhausts are wrapped, this prevents excessive heat near any paint work in the engine bay, I've got a vid posted somewhere on my build diary
D
Well, I'm into the 11th year of the project, could it be ready for Stoneleigh 2020, doubt it. The longest DNA build ever

After talking to Olly Clark at Roger Clark Motorsports a few months back (he’s one of my customers )
He explained that ‘Good’ ceramic coating is far superior to heat wrap, and Rally Subaru’s, so he has a good understanding of these things

All my exhaust is currently wrapped, and the heat is still unbelievable...
So looking into ceramic myself

Good idea !
How much would a ceramic coating on an exhaust/manifold cost ?

Hi Andy, at this stage all is ok with the engine cover. As more parts are fitted to the engine and bay we will see, but as the cover is for a 430 I am thinking of building one out of genuine 360 parts.
