Hiya guys n gals

I understand there's a color war between Red - White - Yellow and blue

My questions is

What color would someone be more interested in purchasing from the above? I understand the ultimate color is the RED but there has now been the white color which i see has become just as popular as the RED?

2nd questions is, has anyone who has built/bought a 5cudo been tempted to go down the Novitec color scheme route meaning the 2 tone black roof/bonnet/boot etc and red/white/yellow body? and which one would people prefer?

what would you guys prefer to buy?

Thank you all in advance  ;D

I think it all depends on your preference.

Are you building on spec hoping to sell for a profit? Go red. It is the most popular color.

If building to enjoy yourself then go to a show amd see member's cars and pick the color scheme you like best for you.

For authenticity though, if important to you, google for scuderia colors and go from there.

good luck,

Thanks DoveUs

I was going to be purchasing a 5cudo kit after Christmas with a friend and i was looking to build one to re-sell and was hopping to get a few more members opinions on what color choice they would have if they were going to buy one?

I really love the 2 tone look, is it a cost issue as im sure this is a true specialists job to paint but the option of having the matt black vinyl wrapped has played on my mind as i have seen some darn good wrap jobs

And was also wondering if any members have done this color scheme as i am yet to see one done on here?

Thank you

If you going to build a car purely to resell then the more personal and different you make it in terms of colour scheme the narrower your market becomes. As Dove says, red is the most popular colour and will appeal to, on average, more people. Not going to get into an arguement over signature colours (Red vs Yellow, Mick  :-*) but when most people think Ferrari, they think red. Remember these are specialist cars and don't necessarily appeal the the everyday punter. So there are less people in your market to start with. However if you are building a car purely to enjoy for yourself than you plan to keep for a good while then of course you do what ever you want.  ;D. Good luck and if you go down the build route, it is the law that you do a build diary on this forum with PLENTY of pictures!  8)

Not a huge fan of the top two tone graphics but the in my opinion I love the side fading graphics would look great on a solid color car or just with the standard scudo racing stripes. Defiantly like the side graphics! The top and off color stripes just have too much going on and make the car too "busy" taking away from the beautiful lines of the car.

Two thoughts on colour.

1).  If it's for you the right colour is the colour you fancy ( but yellow is the best). Keep it simple; Ferraris don't come with over the top colour schemes.

2).  If you are thinking of a quick sale at the end of your build then (may Enzo forgive me) red seems to be the colour for that ( to people who don't know any better  :-).  )

I hope 1). is your solution.

Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

I Love the black on white look, gives it a more aggressive look i think

NO OFFENSE TO AnyONE but the 2 tone look may appeal to the younger generation  ;)

so if your appealing to them then thats a great look to go for but if its the older generation (the ones that have some free cash to spare) and a quick sell then stick with the simple red but thats just my opinion

Im sure you will get a rally of support on both styles but so far it appears that the single color is ahead on resale value

Good luck Kash i hope you make the right choice

I love the White.... Obviously.. ;D

But my only concern with the red one featured above is the shade of red.. It looks like 'Tomato Soup' red and not Ferrari red, which is putting me off.
I know it must be the light the picture was taken in, but I would of thought a professional picture should portray the correct colour.

If that is the correct colour above....? Then that does nothing for me..
If it's Ferrari red, it has to be 'Rosso'.......

IMHO.

I spotted this beast on eBay.
It's a real 360 but has a 430 kit on it.
Love the black and red myself.
Looks really aggressive.

Oh that matt black bonnet is so '60s. Reminds me of the Brabham Viva, and that sold like a lead balloon.
I don't think the black patch is anywhere as good as the graded on shown in the start of the thread.   But these are just my views.
