Rudy.
More exciting than even the 430 as I will have more input as I now know what I want.
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.

Took the SL in to DNA yesterday and spent time with the trim man (Luke at Trim Tech Solutions)
The replica is still at the buck stage but the prep work can be started to save time.
Not using Alcantara but a (new) material which is very close, it still has the pile of Alcantara but is a marine grade and won't get marked by rain. ( and is £20.00 a metre less than alcantara)
Interior strip starts Monday next week. Some details of our ideas may change as the strip goes on.  No pics cos nothing has happened yet.

Some bits to be ordered which are not part of the DNA build. Pics when available.

No problem Kal.  I thought I drove a bit slower now I'm an OAP.

It's a pity I can't do more of a build but I'm afraid my miss-spent youth is catching up with me.  Some bits I can do and I will post these.

Those of you who have done a build will know there's a lot of research behind the build.  That part I can do.

I think you need to reset your spellchecker.  Every time you type in Modena it comes out Rosso.
No it will be YELLOW with a black roof.
Given the physical size of the California and the colour I think it will have a bit of road presence.  If DNA can get the sound right it might impress a few people.  Bypass vacuum valve maybe?

Yes I saw it at Exeter last year.  I think all that need to be said has been said.

Pics.  I have some , just of the Superlagera SL (light weight cos it's been striped) which I am just figuring out how to get loaded via an iPad.

I'm down at DNA tomorrow so I will try to get some of the interior.

Luke at Trim Tech Solutions has a couple of other jobs before he gets gets on with the Furrari.  Plenty of time for him as he can't finish until the build is finished.

Waiting for bits from DNA and bits from Luke so I can get on with preperation.

Furrari,

I know I'm not alone when I say this, but every time I see a post from you, we are all hoping to see some pictures.

We all know it's going to look amazing when it's finished.  You certainly will have a fantastic car at the end of this.

Wizard.

Some people drool when they see pictures of their intended.  I drool just thinking about it.  That's how I know I'm level headed, I drool out of both sides of my mouth.

All I've done so far is sand a couple of bits (seat base extensions) for dipping to remove the imitation leather grain so it can be replaced with imitation CF.  You'd need a better camera than mine to see the difference.

All those who have done a build themselves ( I wish I could, but my miss-spent youth denies me that) know it's the detail that gives the car it's character.
