you can remove the frunk as well mate as you will probably find things a bit rusty under there....I cleaned it all up and hammerited it all.

Also, you wont need the frunk lid anymore so sell that.

Another tip is, as you wont require the spare wheel anymore, that leaves the alarm in the frunk sticking up on its own, what I have done is mounted it underneath the frunk and out of the way, you now have the whole frunk as a "boot"!
What colour should a Ferrari be?...ROSSO of course!

Cheers Phil, will defintiely put that on the to do list. Maybe I could line the 'boot' with a lovely leopard skin fur print!!  :-\ .........err...or maybe not!

Thanks ghall164. I thought that logging hours would be more useful than just months as people work at there own pace and at different times. Then hopefully other builders like yourself can really get a sense of what work is involved and how long so you can budget. I have a nerdy spreadsheet up and running detailing everything we are doing. How long before you can get your kit and start your build? Will you be doing a F430?

Question for everyone: I'm getting the DNA F430 comprenhensive kit, (which is very comprenehsnive!  :) )  - however what fixings parts (screw/bolts etc..) are included in the kit? Things like tech screws I guess are not...

Can anyone possibly tell me the extra parts i need to buy and possibly the sizes? I've bought a selection of M4-8 nuts and bolts to get me started

I have a small list going here:

>Bicycle brakes cables x 2 for doors
>Solderless Nipples x2 for doors

Cheers as always guys.....

from top of my head.....

you will need a 19 deep cranked ring spanner to fit the front spacers on with...see my build thread
lots of small nuts and bolts to assemble the fake disks, see mine or beanys build thread
50mm wheel studs for the front spacers to convert to nuts instead of bolts
20 new wheel nuts - need to be slimmer to fit the new wheels, again see my thread
hammerite paint for suspension parts - if you want it to look nice!
all ferrari decals etc...for fake calipers and the whole car
dial backs for your speedo to look like ferrari
push button start for steering

thats all i can think of at the mo.....

You will also need the mondeo fuel filler cap.
Suggest new discs and pads, full engine service.
New glass if you do not want to Toyota script on them.
Change windscreen rubber to look like the original Ferrari rubber.
Blead nipples, etc. for calipers.
Horn push button
Hope this helps.

Cheers Guys
Will have a good look at brakes and discs when i get the wheels off. Good point about the stamped glass. Will have a look on saturday. Phil, where did you get your wheel studs from? What material do they need to be? Stainless steel is not the way to go i read somewhere. can you remeber the width of the studs?

these were the item myself and Rudy bought...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370476921452?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

they are:

Vauxhall Conversion Wheel Stud M12x1.5mm 50mm Long

and the description states:

M12x1.5mm Pitch Theadwith total lengh of 50mm Long High Tensile Steel

so not stainless steel as they would probably snap off!

I have also ordered 2 standard M12 x 1.5mm pitch nuts so that I can lock them together on the thread and then use them to tighten the thread into the spacer, as it keeps coming out with the wheel nut!

make sure you post LOADS of pics! we love 'em!!

Also, as I have just found out, check the WIDTH of your garage door, as when the body and mirrors are fitted, its VERY wide!!
It wont fit through mine with the mirrors on, so I will removable mirrors or better still, folding mirrors.

I may have a go at making the supplied ones fold or maybe get hold of real ones and make them fit!....dont know yet...something I have a long time yet to think about....
I seem to recall enzo mirrors advertised on  madmechanics that showed them dismantled, give you a good idea how to adapt yours, you just need to find the thread ;D

Hi phil

If you want some windscreen trim the same as in mine I can supply you some and send it up to you.

Or I can put the screen back in  with new trim after I've painted car for you (wink wink) :) :)
