What's it called?
« on: June 07, 2012, 10:01:44 PM »
I'm looking for a garage tool but don't know what it's called.... Can anyone help?

They come in two forms ive seen. It's an extendable pole that you can use to brace a panel.. Its adjustable by sliding one section inside the other and you twist one side to tighten it. I've also seen these in a cross... A bit like a wheel brace. They normally have rubber stops on the ends as well.

Any ideas .

Thanks

Steve

If it's a bit like a thin acrow prop I used two for supporting the roof when I was trimming a narrow boat.  I got mine from Screwfix.  Hope this is the same animal.
Not all problems can be solved with gaffer tape.  For those there is WD40.
Not even gaffer tape can fix stupid, but it can mask the sound.

If you can’t buy it or steal it you have to make it.
